Pink Punch- via Polyvore!
By way of Pinterest, I've discovered a new fashion site I adore: Polyvore! (I didn't mean for that to rhyme!) You can create magazine-style layouts of head-to-toe looks tailored perfectly for your style. There are hundreds of pre-loaded apparel, shoes & accessory styles pre-loaded so you can play with it however it pleases you! It is a great way to play with some new looks and experiment just for funsies, or to help streamline your next shopping trip! Now if only I could get my wardrobe to have as many easy choices as this site!
The great thing is, it tells you where to buy each of these items and how much it costs, so once you find the look you love, you can easily buy and make the look come to life. Unfortunately, unless you're a Kardashian or your budget is limitless, most of the choices on this site are pretty pricey. Therefore, I put together a look for myself that I call "Pink Punch" and decided to shop in my budget to find similar pieces that fit the bill, both fashionably and monetarily.

With shoes from Alexander McQueen and a bag from Miu Miu, this total look would cost over $4,000!
Here's how I do it for less:

Happy Spring... a little late perhaps?
Spring has sprung and is well underway, though it's still snowing and gloomy in some parts of the country. There's nothing like some new spring clothes in a fresh color palette to chase away the storm clouds that spring often brings, though, right?
Here's a run-down of the color trends to stock up on this season!
Neutrals
Blush, nude and ivory are the perfect pairing for some of the brighter colors in the palette. Try a pair of nude shoes or an ivory sundress. The great thing about this trend is it goes with every other trend this spring!
Nautical
Navy, White and Red combined in stripes and dots, evoking a feeling of being on the high seas (as opposed to Americana)

Military
Olives and earth tones continue to be strong; this trend has been around so long, it's becoming a classic!
Hues of Blue
Blue is a rich color, no matter which shade you choose. From tropical, watery blues to bold and classy cobalt, you can't go wrong!
Chambray
I've been seeing a lot of this soft-handed light wash denim fabric in everything from shirts to skirts. Make your look casual and relaxed with this blast from the past!
Bright white
The world seems a little dim in the current climate of economic strife, political unrest and wars waging around the world. Lighten your load and feel refreshed in the brightest whites you can get your hands on!
Organic/Floral
Floral prints as well as solids in colors reminiscent of your favorite blooms are richly brilliant this spring. Think honeysuckle, peony, pea pod, coral and lavender. Also fitting for this trend are yellows as bright as the sun!

Rainboots
I somehow feel like I've missed the boat on a latest trend I saw in full force at the mall this weekend. Rainboots as everyday footwear? I have definitely seen rainboots in the stores and in magazines, and I adore the cute patterns and fun colors. But I guess I didn't know people were wearing them all the time, as opposed to just for the functional purpose of keeping their tootsies dry. Maybe this is just a suburban trend to wear them at the mall, but it does remind me of the Ugg trend.
Have you seen this trend? Do you have a pair of rainboots? Do tell!
